What are Archetypes?

Archetypes are symbolic energies or patterns that live inside all of us- ancient, universal, and deeply personal.

They are the Sovereign, the Lover, the Magician, the Wild Woman, the Priestess and the Warrior.

They show up in myth, in your dreams, in your reactions, in your desires.

Working with archetypes isn’t about becoming someone new...

It’s about remembering who you already are!

Masculine and feminine archetypes represent different aspects of personality and behaviour, not just gender. Archetypes are universal patterns or symbolic energies within the human psyche. They show up in myths, dreams, behaviour patterns, and personal narratives.

Carl Jung described them as primal images or motifs residing in the collective unconscious-blueprints of human experience.

Archetypal Embodiment?

Archetypal embodiment is the sacred art of experiencing these energies through the body, emotion, and consciousness—not just understanding them mentally, but living them. It’s moving your hips with the energy of the Lover. Speaking your boundaries with the clarity of the King. Resting in the deep inner knowing of the Priestess.

This is the heart of archetypal practice: not performance, but presence.

When we embody these energies consciously, we reclaim lost parts of ourselves- creating transformation and integration, bringing hidden or wounded parts of self into wholeness.

Working through the shadow archetypes both light and dark, stirred a deep remembrance of places I was not fully allowing myself to be true to myself. The dark shadows showed me where I am not at my best, whereas the light aligned with who I am- remembering myself to be.

The dancing and movement was something I was nervous about in the beginning, even though we had the option to go out of screen, so no one else could see. Movement and dance has now become a big part of how I allow feelings and emotions to show me what I need and continue to flow through without attachment.
